She is an old Dame more correctly called a classic 1916 farmhouse with 9'-5" ceilings and 7'-6" high windows that bring in lots of light. Her home, 705 Mabelle Street, is situated in Moscow's family-friendly "Old Swedes" neighborhood, a 12-minute walk to Moscow Food Co-op and Summer Farmer's Market, and 15-20 to the University of Idaho campus. Public elementary schools in easy walking distance include Palouse Prairie School and Lena Whitmore Elementary.

We go back to when she was purchased in 2004 from longtime owner Helen Pingree who moved in when she was five, the same age as my daughter at the time. You could say this is a story about her facelift. Something which if done well is fabulous. I will explore her restoration and full updating by myself, owner-architect, in keeping with the original "farmhouse vernacular" style.
