I was always surprised by the way my daughter and good friend raved about the back of my Donna Karan number. I didn't even think you could see it that well in pictures. But backs were on my mind.
So, that set the stage for when Julie and I met at the office gate.
Turns out Julie was all excited to tell me about an Oscar de la Renta number with inverted pleats that she had found. Yep, that is the design idea I was thinking about, but this looks like specially printed fabric and I can't even imagine how it is pressed to hold that shape.
Now the back was nothing special. But it came with a little video and it was that, that inspired me. I was mesmerized and watched it over and over.
Well this sent me to the drawing board and I said to myself - concentrate on the back only - with those inverted pleats.
I feel I'm on to something, but my exit is quickly approaching and I have promised the other dress.
Will I have enough time?
